Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This policy applies to Clipiary's page reading, saving, organization, viewing, download, export, backup, and restore features.
2. Data processed
To build the item-selection preview, Clipiary temporarily processes the current page URL, title, author display name and username, publication time, page text, currently visible comments and replies, and image or video URLs on-device. After Save, only selected text, comments, media, source metadata, and save time remain in the library. Clipiary also handles topics, tags, notes, item relationships, knowledge pages, and display or download preferences entered by the user. It does not collect account passwords, complete browsing history, or unrelated-tab content.
3. Purpose
Data is used only to preserve selected material in source order, organize and search it, display or download saved media, export files, and restore the library. Clipiary does not use saved material for advertising, personalized advertising, data sales, or cross-site tracking.
4. Storage and transmission
A pre-save preview is held temporarily in the extension interface and browser session and does not become a saved library item. It is deleted when the panel or browser closes. After Save, only selected text, comments, media, and source details remain in the on-device extension library. Saved text, notes, topics, and library files are not sent to a server operated by 네이처홈. When saving media or creating a link preview, Clipiary may request content directly from its source website. That website may receive the IP address, access time, browser information, cookies, and referring page URL. The operator does not proxy the request or receive that connection data.
5. Retention
Data remains on the device until the user deletes it or removes Clipiary. Export and backup files remain until the user deletes them.
6. Permissions
Clipiary uses active-tab reading, bundled page-structure analysis, on-device storage, and a side panel. Host access is not granted at installation. On selected supported sites, Clipiary requests access to the exact current site when the user invokes it; that grant remains until removed in Chrome settings. Saving selected media may request one or more exact HTTPS source origins together. Clipiary does not continuously read other pages in the background. Download permission is requested when that feature is first used.
7. Sharing and sale
Clipiary does not share or sell saved material. Data may be handled when legally required, only to the extent required by law.
8. User control
Users choose saved sections, comments, replies, media, topics, tags, and notes. They can edit or delete items, export files, remove optional permissions, or remove Clipiary. Before the first page read, Clipiary discloses temporary processing of currently visible content for the selection preview and that only selected items remain in the library. Reading begins only after affirmative consent.
9. Security and rights
All executable code is included in the extension package. No remotely hosted executable code is used. Clipiary does not bypass access controls. Users must save or download only material they are authorized to use.
10. Access terms
The current public preview has no account registration, payment, or paid entitlement verification. All features are free during the preview. Some advanced features may become paid after the full release. This policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before any change.
11. Changes
Changes to processed data or transmission behavior will be reflected in this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures before they take effect. Material changes will also be announced within Clipiary.
12. Limited Use
Clipiary's use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and is limited to its disclosed single purpose and user-requested features.
13. Contact
Contact contact@formatpop.com. The email service provider used for inquiries may process the sender's email address, message, and attachments. Inquiry records are retained as needed to respond and address disputes, and are deleted on request unless retention is legally required.
14. Product website
The product pages and this policy are served through GitHub Pages. GitHub may process technical access logs when the pages are visited. See the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
